CVS - GoGORILLA Media took branding on dollar bills to a new stratosphere for CVS Pharmacy. A double layer, peel-off coupon with barcode was affixed to 60,000 single dollar bills which were then distributed through 60 venues. Each multi-layer sticker offered "$5 off” at CVS pharmacies in the San Francisco Bay area. The campaign kicked off during Fleet Week at San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf and continued throughout the holiday season as the bills went on to circulate with the remaining bottom layer branding. CVS was able to track the success of the campaign by monitoring coupon redemption rates.
